Practice information
You are welcome to raise a concern.
Feedback can help make the work clearer, safer and more responsive. You do not need to find perfect words before getting in touch.
Start where you can
Feedback, concerns or complaints.
You may raise a concern about communication, privacy, professional conduct, accessibility, fees, booking arrangements or any part of your experience with Rachel or Hiskins Arts Therapy & Counselling.
If you feel able, contact Rachel directly by email or phone. Include only the information you are comfortable sharing through that channel. You may ask for communication in writing or bring a support person into an agreed conversation.
Your complaint will be acknowledged, handled confidentially and considered fairly. Rachel will clarify the concern where needed, keep you informed and explain the response or next step. Raising a concern will not be used to pressure you to continue therapy.
Independent pathway
You can contact the Health Complaints Commissioner.
You do not have to raise a concern directly with Rachel first. The Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner accepts complaints about general health service providers.
Make a complaint to the Health Complaints Commissioner or call 1300 582 113.
The General Code of Conduct for general health service providers explains the standards that apply to this work.
For a concern specifically about Halaxy’s handling of your personal information, use the complaint details in Halaxy’s Australian privacy policy. For a question about information held by Rachel, see the privacy page.
This process is not for emergencies or immediate safety concerns. Contact an appropriate emergency or crisis service if urgent support is needed.
