Practice information

Your privacy matters.

This page explains how Hiskins Arts Therapy and Counselling, operated by Rachel Hiskins as a sole trader, handles personal and health information.

What is collected

Only what is needed for contact and care.

If you email, call or book, Rachel may receive your name, contact details, appointment information and information you choose to share about your enquiry or health.

Clinical and administrative records may include intake information, consent, appointment notes, invoices and relevant correspondence. Please avoid sending sensitive clinical details through ordinary email unless necessary; they can be discussed through an agreed channel.

Where practical, you may make an initial enquiry without identifying yourself. Identification is normally required to provide clinical care, maintain accurate records and process bookings or payments.

Halaxy bookings and records

Bookings, reminders, invoices and clinical records are managed through Halaxy. When you follow a booking link, you leave this website and provide information to Halaxy. Halaxy states that data is stored in Australia, while some suppliers and optional integrations may process information overseas, including in the United States, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the European Union. See Halaxy’s Australian privacy policy for its current details.

How it is used

For your enquiry, booking and therapeutic care.

Information may be used to respond to you, assess whether the service may be suitable, arrange and provide appointments, maintain appropriate clinical and financial records, and meet professional or legal obligations.

Rachel does not sell personal information. It is shared only with your agreement, where needed to provide an authorised service, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law. Limits to confidentiality are discussed as part of informed consent.

Website information

This website does not currently use a contact form, advertising cookies or behavioural analytics. It is hosted by Vercel, whose infrastructure may process basic technical information such as an IP address, browser details and request logs in the United States and other jurisdictions to deliver, secure and maintain the website. See Vercel’s privacy notice.

Security and retention

Reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect records. Access is limited to people who need it for authorised work. Records are retained for the periods required by applicable health-records, professional and financial obligations, then securely destroyed or de-identified when no longer required.

Your choices

Access, correction and questions.

You may ask to access personal information held about you or request correction of inaccurate information. Identity may need to be confirmed before records are discussed or released, and limited legal exceptions may apply.

For a privacy question, access or correction request, email info@hiskinsartstherapy.com or call 0455 374 288.

To make a privacy complaint, contact Rachel using those details and describe the concern and the outcome you are seeking. The complaint will be acknowledged, considered confidentially and answered within a reasonable period. If it is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Victorian Health Complaints Commissioner.

If your concern relates specifically to information held by Halaxy, you may also contact Halaxy through its privacy policy.
